When we are sick or unhealthy, it’s visible and anyone can tell that we are unwell. But when it comes to mental illness, people should be given Oscars for their acting. People hide it so well that even if you are a close friend of someone, you would never know what’s bothering them unless they tell you about it. Mental illness has always been a very difficult situation to deal with and sometimes people don’t realize that it’s a big problem and they need help. Depression slowly kills you and we all have been through this at some point in our lives. If you have gotten over it, that’s truly amazing but if you are still hiding your mental illness, please open up and tell your friends about it.

This woman a borderline personality disorder which is a form of serious mental illness. It involves serious mood swings, instability in behavior, poor self-image, and stormy personal relationships. Her diagnosis means that she can have suicidal thoughts over “the slightest trigger.”
It’s hard to tell what a person is going through and they can easily hide it if they are good at it.
When this woman told her doctor that she was having suicidal thoughts, the doctor said, ‘You don’t look suicidal’.
It’s a powerful reminder for us that mental illness is not always visible and these photos certainly prove this fact.
